#14 – DOES A BIOETHANOL FIREPLACE KEEP YOU WARM?

Initially, bioethanol fireplaces were intended to be used as decorative and aesthetic components, but the result and the feeling they conveyed went beyond what could be expected. Therefore, manufacturers dedicated themselves to developing this technology so that they could become functional and true sources of heat. Today, bioethanol fireplaces are already a real alternative for a heating system in your home.

A bioethanol fireplace is easy to install and has excellent functionality, is environmentally friendly and has no wood, smoke or unpleasant smells. But there is also another advantage, which no other form of flame heating can match. Bioethanol fireplaces can be placed anywhere, anytime, because they don’t need any kind of extraction, there are even models that can be moved from one room to another, with the proper precautions.

The autonomy of a bioethanol fireplace depends on the tank capacity and the intensity of the flame. The burners range from 0.20 L/hour to 0.90 L/hour, depending on the intensity of the flame, and can be lit for between 3 and 25 hours.

During its combustion, bioethanol releases a heat with calorific power, and as it has no chimney, most of the heat generated by combustion is concentrated on site. This heat is formed by carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) in harmless quantities, substances which are also produced by our breathing. However, it is always important to maintain good ventilation to ensure a healthy oxygen level.

As it does not generate smoke, ashes or any other type of residue, the maintenance of this type of fireplace is simple and easy. Just fill the fuel tank and dust the structure, as if it were a piece of furniture.
